Fear and Kayaking on Little Seneca Lake
I have been afraid of kayaks ever since my "baby" brother was nearly killed in a kayaking accident in high school.

Pirate, Priest and King!
Saturday night we attended a concert at the Episcopal church where I work, mostly to meet (and hear) the young lady featured (Kemi Adegoroye) and - even more mostly - to see and hear my boss perform "I Am the Pirate King" from Pirates of Penzance. Obviously, the quality here is limited, as I was taking it with my phone, and trying to watch him rather than the viewscreen! But it was pretty awesome. I have a great boss. :)

Minutiae
The Meadow

"Why do you drive all the way to West Virginia
when there are campgrounds so much closer?"

Wild Wonderful West Virginia
This past weekend we headed back to our new favorite hideaway in the woods, in Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia. Nestled in the trees on a peak near Spruce Knob Hill, in a small, circular clearing, is a fabulous and very private campground. No, I'm not telling the name of it, either! We have to have **some** secrets, you know! It is technically a group camp, with three large sites capable of accommodating 20 people each, so the two of us had plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy ourselves.
