Minutiae

It's easy to be blown away by the big things when you are primarily a city-dweller, thrust into the majesty of The Nature.  But while they possess a different kind of majesty, the small things are wondrous, as well.  We took some time to appreciate these, and were well rewarded.

Fuzzy wuzzies.
Cremains (for that's what they resemble) of our mosquito coil.

Orange spotted daddy long legs were everywhere.

...even on our tent!

There were several of these moss-covered rocks in our campsite, and all over the place, really.
Our very, very favorite patch of moss.  :)
From our first weekend, the tea lights wound up with interesting spatter patterns from the downpour(s).
Pretty moss close up.  It doesn't look like it, but it's very, very soft.
Another kind of moss, looking like tiny Norfolk pines, but they're also very soft.
Mushrooms were everywhere... on the ground in leaves, in the moss patches...
... and of course, on trees.
The sunlight was beautiful, filtering through the branches of trees.
