The Meadow

The short answer to the question,
"Why do you drive all the way to West Virginia
when there are campgrounds so much closer?"

I now know what it really means to
take in a "breathtaking view."  Literally.

I'm sure this spot would be mobbed with people,
except that in order to get to the Meadow,
you have to climb down a rockslide.  It's... tough.

And a lot bigger than it looks.  Trust me.

The Womb, a hole in a huge boulder that's large enough
for you to get into, if you're careful and tricky.

The word "verdant" also comes to mind.

This is the highest point in the state of West Virginia,

as well as being the highest point in the Allegheny Mountains.
